BVZ HG2/3 7 "Breithorn" 1292 527 The four SLM Winterthur 1890 Steam locos HG2/3 1~4 with adhesion and cog drive wheel formed the first locos of Visp-Zermatt-Bahn. In 1893, 1902, 1906 and 1908 followed four more machines, and, from lok 6, in brighter livery. When the track was electrified in 1929 the first five locos were broken up; lok 8 survived until 1935. HG2/3 7 "Breithorn" survived until finally it was the only engine with a rack drive with Visp-Zermatt-Bahn (VZ). Today both DFB HG2/3 6 "Weisshorn" and MGB(BVZ) HG2/3 7 "Breithorn" carry the green/black livery of VZ. Metal handcrafted model of rack Loco HG2/3 7 in present green/black livery.
