Inspection trolleys (Draisines) can be found at many ÖBB stations and along narrow-gauge lines, frequently in combination with one or two trailers. This model's prototype is still running in large numbers in Austria. Owing to a lack of engine power they cannot usually pull much more than light-weight trailers, although they can be seen with a single low-sided 4-wheel service wagon attached by means of a special coupling rod. Without trailers Draisines can travel at speeds up to 50 km/h.

Inspection trolleys (Draisines) are in service at all major stations, frequently in combination with one or two trailers. This model's prototype with its low sided body made of rough planks is still running in large numbers on OBB branch lines. A characteristic feature is the underframe design with hard-wood brake blocks operated by brake handles fitted on either side.
