Bogie Diesel-Hydraulic Locomotive L45H
The L45H bogie diesel-hydraulic locomotive was manufactured in large numbers between 1967-1985 by FAUR in Bucharest (Romania).
The L45H bogie diesel-hydraulic locomotive was used by many Eastern European Railways, including private industrial railways
, and was manufactured in different guages (750~1000mm).
Today, the 450-hp, 10.25m narrow gauge L45H locomotives are still in use in :-
Romania (as class 87), Poland (as class Bxd2), Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Hungary (as class MK45).
Some are in service in Germany:- Saxon Steam Railway Company Ltd. (SDG - formerly BVO Bahn GmbH) ;
and in Austria on the Ybbstalbahn-mountain section of the ÖGLB ;
as well as the Mediterranean island of Corsica.
